London International Disputes Week (LIDW) 2026

The London International Disputes Week (LIDW) 2026) is one of the leading global forums for international dispute resolution, bringing together practitioners, corporates, arbitral institutions and academics from around the world. Under the 2026 theme “Tradition, Trust and Transformation in International Dispute Resolution”, the event will explore current challenges and future developments in cross-border disputes and arbitration.

As part of the programme, ADVANT representatives are preparing a dedicated session focusing on jurisdictional clashes in a geopolitically divided world. The session will be co-hosted together with the Turkish Arbitration Association.

Will be discussed during this panel:

    • Geopolitical risk and dispute strategy: Managing international disputes in an era of sanctions and trade conflicts
    • Sanctions and procedural disruption: Effects on arbitration and litigation proceedings
    • Judicial resistance to arbitration: Russian public policy exceptions and exclusive jurisdiction claims
    • Enforcement risk mapping: Recognition and enforcement of awards and judgments beyond the EU and UK
    • Anti‑suit injunctions and countermeasures: Implications for parties, arbitrators, and counsel

Panel will be moderated by Angelo Anglani and includes Prof. Kamala Mehtiyeva from Turkic Arbitration Association, Melis Acuner from Quinn Emanuel, Oliver Korte, Falk Tischendorf, François Muller and Gian Carlo Sessa
